Some (many) of you are probably new to this blog, so let me give you a quick recap: I lived in New York City while I went to college there. I lived in an apartment with a roommate during those four years, I grew tired of living in the city. I longed for the comfort of the suburbs. But for the past several months, I've been feeling a sense of longing to move back to the city. While I was in school, I had homework and papers to worry about (and I was also underage for the majority of it, so it was no bars for me!). I feel that I didn't get to fully take advantage of life in New York.
I really want to move back. I'm not sure when this will be able to happen, but, nonetheless, I've been pinning some ideas for my future apartment. Here's some of what I've come up with.
- JUBILEE QUILT FROM ANTHROPOLOGIE. I have a love/hate relationship with that store. Don't we all? Although...I guess if you were rich then maybe not. Everything is just so wonderful, especially this quilt.
- MIXED FRAMES COLLAGE. I've started to do something like this in my room at home, but I never completed it. I still love the look of mis-matched frames in a collage on the wall.
- JEWEL TONES. Maybe I'll do this? I feel that I've never taken a risk with a bold paint color. I'm going back and forth in my mind about all white with bold accents or one bold wall instead.
- IKEA RASKOG CART. A must. I feel like this little dude would come in handy all the time, especially in a small space! Not to mention that it's a bona fide rite of passage for a twenty-something living in New York City to buy tons of cheap furniture from Ikea.
All of these images are from Pinterest (duh), so good luck finding their original sources. If you want to see more of what I've been pinning, check out my Future Apartment board.
