CUSTOM WORK

BUSINESS, CRAFTING, LIFE, SEWINGEmily SpadaComment

I know I've written before about custom work I've done.  Here's a little bit of what I've been working on lately:

Just last week, someone emailed me asking about ordering a custom clutch and matching wristlet.  She wanted a clutch for her sister, and the wristlet for herself.  She specifically asked for fabric with a bird-related print.  I took a trip to JoAnn's Fabrics and gave her a selection to choose from.  This was the result!

Our family friend is a makeup artist and ordered a roll for her makeup brushes.  I had made a DSLR camera bag for a friend (no decent pictures of that one), so I copied some of the techniques from that and used them for the brush roll.

A former coworker of mine saw my zebra clutch and asked for the same model in leopard print.  I love the way this piece came out.  It's perfect.

And finally, around Christmas, I had an order for a Zelda-themed wristlet from Ilana Mele of Duchessa Originals and founder of Handmade Long Island.  The wristlet was for her niece.   This was my first attempt at applique, and I don't think it turned out that bad!

I love designing pieces with customers.  What I would love is to get another order for bridesmaid gifts.  That was fun.  If you're interested in working with me on something custom, feel free to email me!
