I wore makeup and it was just okay
I never wear makeup. It's even in the about section of this page. But I was on a shoot last month with Florence Adepoju of MDMFlow and I might have walked away from the shoot with two free lipsticks. "Well...I need to wear these!" I thought to myself. So the next day I went to Sephora with a friend and spent my life savings because baby doesn't have any primer.
So what's the verdict? Makeup takes a long time and whenever I wear it, I have to fight the urge to touch my face because I have a bad habit doing that quite a bit. BUT. The act of putting on makeup is really fun. When I was of elementary school age, my friends and I would play dress up and attempt at the makeup, obviously resulting in a complete bad drag disaster. So as I threw product after product in my bag, I remembered how much fun I used to have.
I can't lie, though: when I was putting on my face several hours after the epic Sephora haul, I almost gave up. I'm not used to seeing myself like this, I'm out of practice (LOL what a ridiculous statement) and I actually whined over FaceTime to my best friend that I looked like a clown.
Needless to say, I've been watching makeup tutorials on Youtube since then...wow I sound like such a dweeb, you guys. Oh god. I'm nearly 26 and I'm all, "I'm wearing makeup!" Anyway...the makeup experience was just okay and I need to get used to this. We'll see.
