Today I am unveiling my new logo. I mentioned in my last post that I was mulling over some ideas and I've settled on this:
What do you think? Let me explain my thought process behind this. Some parts of it are arbitrary, some are deliberate. Arbitrary: the circles. I just happen to like circles. Here's the first draft:
I consulted with my good friends Dave and Ashley. Dave's advice was to make the circles a little smaller. I did that and ended up making one bigger than the others. He also suggested adding the white stroke to the middle circle. Ashley suggested widening the letter spacing. The white across the middle was a complete accident. I was about to drop a white rectangle somewhere else and it fell in the middle. *lightbulb* I chose the colors because I wanted to match the work in progress photos I've been using across all my social media, and I wanted something vibrant. The peach was okay for a while, but I feel like this new logo lends itself well to creating more of a brand for myself.
On February 1st, I'm going to be changing out all the colors and logos on my blog and Etsy shop. I'm excited about this new chapter in my business, and I hope it's the first step in building the business I've always wanted to build.
