Moving selfie. #nyc #ues #vscocam
So I moved on Wednesday. It went really well, but mostly because I was moving bags and bags of random junk. All the big pieces of furniture are/were being delivered, so my parents and I had a pretty easy job. Right now the place is pretty bare. I have a bed and a dresser. My kitchen table is being delivered sometime this week, so I'm doing some true twenty-something living right now. On Thursday night, I ate dinner on the floor. At least I have wifi.
On Tuesday, I stopped by to pick up the keys and do one final walk through. It's small, but perfect for just me. I'll find room for my sewing machine and fabric if it kills me. On the left is all my crap packed into the car. We still have a load of other crap to drive in next weekend: TV, my zillion pairs of shoes, a papasan chair to hold me over until the couch is delivered six weeks from now. On Thursday night I took a trip to The Container Store to take advantage of their shelving sale. I spent too much money and shlepped these two giant, heavy bags on the Third Ave. bus back to my apartment.
Nothing on the walls yet, but I had to put out my new piece of handmade art. #longisland #nyc #ues #vscocam #art #stringart
I also don't have anything on the walls. They're very, very bare. When my mom and I had a booth at a festival a few weeks ago, I bought the string art piece above. It was $40, it's handmade, and it kicks ass. I'm really excited to start decorating, but it's going to be really difficult figuring out which art to put on the walls. Maybe I'll start with having some of my photos printed.
